<Click Here for Program Presentation>
<Click Here for Economics Symposium Speech>

Program Description:

Description: Global technology spending in 2009 was approximately $4.2T If this was a nation's GDP, it would rank 4th worldwide after the US, Japan, and China. Imagine what you could do if your budget included the equivalent of $700 for each inhabitant of Earth! Although the technology economy itself is huge it is relatively unexplored and its dynamics are uncharted.

In this session Dr. Howard Rubin discussed new global, national, and company level economic models that have a central focus on technology and IT. New measures, benchmarks, and methods were discussed, providing you with the ability to “take charge of your own technology economy.”

In addition, because of his extensive work in worldwide technology data collection and benchmarking, Dr. Rubin was a member of the Global Information Economy (GIE) Working Group of the U.S. State Department's Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy (ACIEP).
